# Excavation for foundations and trenches

We excavate foundations and trenches with our own excavators and backhoe loaders, operator included. We dig foundations for houses and fences, pits for septic tanks and trenches for water, sewer, gas or power connections, and we haul away the excavated soil with our own dump trucks.

## What the work includes

- excavation for foundations of houses, outbuildings and fences

- pits for septic tanks and basins
- topsoil stripping
- loading and removal of the excavated soil
- backfilling and compaction at the end, if needed

## How it is done

1. You describe the job: dimensions, depth, site access.
2. We choose the right machine and send you our quote.
3. We bring the machine and the operator to the site.
4. We carry out the excavation and remove the soil.

## Frequently asked questions

### Which machine is used for a house foundation?

For a typical house foundation we usually use a backhoe loader, which digs and loads at the same time. For large volumes or greater depths we choose the tracked excavator.

### Do you remove the excavated soil?

Yes. We load and haul the soil with our own 8×4 dump trucks.

### Can you work in tight spaces?

Yes. For narrow yards and limited access we use the skid steer loader, which fits where a large machine cannot.
